Fish Face Celebrating 25 Years in the Outdoor T-shirt Business

My son Drew working a retail craft show with me back in 1996.

It”s Our Silver Anniversary! No, not Joanie and I (We’re 37 years in.). Fish Face Goods and I are celebrating 25 years together. Like most marriages, there’s been ups and downs (uh, COVID was a biggie). But for the most part, it’s been a marriage made in heaven. I couldn’t have chosen a more perfect partner. I love her dearly (Joanie too of course 😂).

The current hill I’m climbing has been a challenge for sure (and I’m not over the hill yet LOL). The work is just as hard as when I did mostly shows and wholesale, but it’s a different kind of work. They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, but I’m bound and determined to prove the saying wrong.

We’ve seen slow but steady growth this year in our online sales. We have consistently tried to inform and entertain you with our newsletter (and if you don’t already subscribe, be sure to sign up now).

By “we” I mean my niece Jen, who has been doing a ton of work for me this year. She has a background in communications and has been doing a variety of things to help me this year. I’ve been nudging her to introduce herself in a blog post but nothing yet - so say hello 👋.

And since I’m no longer traveling, I’ve added more new designs than I ever have. Having more time to draw has been super exciting for me! Look for more artistic stuff to come. I know I keep saying it but the direct-to-garment technology printing is allowing me to be so much more artistic and creative. (Although you need to take care of these shirts)

So with a huge smile on my face, I’d like to give a big shout-out to all of you who have supported me and my family by buying Fish Face Goods shirts, mugs, and caps! Here’s to another 25! Well, maybe not 25. I do hope to retire before I’m 85 😀
